Couple of years ago, law was a profession taken by disguise and not by choice. Law was considered to be least lucrative and most uncertain for making a career. After Law, lawyers had no other option but to jump in the sea called litigation, paying as low as its smallest pebble and demanding as deep as its depth.

But today there has been a paradigm shift in Indian Legal services due to the birth of Legal Process Outsourcing. Today law is one of the preferred choices for making career, due to the work offered in LPO’s.

After rubbing my feet in litigation for some time I shifted to this industry and am now proud to be a part of such a competent, efficient industry. Working in an environment where one gets to increase the legal knowledge and becomes a global professional is very interesting and for me a dream come true.

I will call it unfair to stigmatize this legal industry as LPO on the footings of BPO or KPO. The quality and efficiency required is in no matter less than in other legal services and in no way comparable to so called counterparts BPO or KPO.I would rather call this a Legal Consultancy, as the work done herein is as crucial as in litigation service. There is no scope for any mistake and the legal knowledge should be at par with Indian as well as foreign clients Law’s, making it double demanding.

Still LPO is an unsolved riddle for many who are either ignorant of the potential in this industry or are stuck to old whims and beliefs. But for me as a personal experience this industry is as competent and efficient as any other industry and has the potential of unlimited growth.
